Our Story

Since 1992, Clotheshorse has been helping shoppers discover high-quality fashion at a better value while giving consignors a trusted place to give great pieces a second life. Family-owned and based in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Clotheshorse was founded by Tim and Becky Sager and has grown into a well-established consignment boutique serving Birmingham, surrounding communities, and shoppers from across the Southeast.

What began as a local boutique has grown substantially over the years. Today, Clotheshorse works with more than 8,700 consignors from across the United States and recently expanded by an additional 6,400 square feet, giving customers even more room to shop. The expanded space includes 10 dressing rooms, making it easier to browse, try on favorites, and enjoy the large selection at a comfortable pace.

Clotheshorse is known for offering high-quality, name-brand and designer merchandise at prices that make great style more accessible. The team is selective about what reaches the sales floor, focusing on pieces that were purchased within the last few years and are in excellent condition. Because new items are always coming in, every visit offers something different.

The selection extends well beyond one type of shopper. Clotheshorse carries consignment fashion for women, men, teens, and children, with clothing ranging from designer pieces and semi-formal dresses to athleisure, sportswear, jeans, and loungewear.
